DON’T LIKE READING? DO THIS INSTEAD.

reading

Are you one of those people who find reading boring? Do you wish to garner knowledge on academics, and trends, and study for exams but, you can’t seem to grasp what you are reading? Or you just do not have time to read a great book from your bestselling author?  I have a list of alternatives that might just work for you.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU DON’T LIKE READING.

LISTEN TO PODCASTS

The podcast is a dynamic medium to learn if you are not much of a reader. I believe people find it difficult with books because their concentration span is short so when they pick up a book to read, that’s when they get sleepy like me, suddenly feel hungry, or need to use the bathroom. The right podcast can be an excellent alternative to books since its content is shorter straight to the important information, educational, and entertaining at the same time.

LISTEN TO AUDIOBOOKS.

The audiobook is a voice record of books, and documents texts for it to be read aloud, and listened to rather than the traditional reading. While the traditional task may be most suitable if you want to retain more information, listening to audiobooks helps with faster learning without investing actual and the longer time you would normally do for the manual reading.

This is a great way for audio learners to absorb information and learn because they can be exact replicas of content in paper books.

WATCH DOCUMENTARIES.

Though documentaries are available in books or paper forms, but you’re not much of a reader right? They are also available as series to be watched.

Watching documentaries not only helps you learn about deep topics like crimes, historical events, and a person’s life, they are based on facts and true events. They can steer you towards deep thinking, and perception as well improve your mental health.

The images and visuals that come with watching documentaries can help you remember and retain information easily, especially for visual learners.
